Peiter immigrated with his father in 1651. After reaching maturity he became a farmer in Bushwick. There has been no will found and no date of death. He is most likly buried in Bushwick LI NY.
Several records including his marriage records show his name to be Loisen. He ia also identified as Loisen and Loysen as well as de Zeeuw, Seeu, and de Seeuw. His surname is not de Zeeuw it is really Janzsen as Loisen was added at a later date.
There has been discussion of other family names such as: Losey, Losee and now Locy all of which have been found to be family.
Loisen was pronunced as Lo-i-sen with a long i and the n strongly nasalized.
