Brooklyn Standard Argus of June 9, 1882. Death of Stephen LOUNSBERY Mr. Stephen LOUNSBERY of No. 295 Macon street died on Wednesday night. Mr. LOUNSBERY was born at Bedford, N. Y. in 1799. His father was a well-to-do farmer and
after a common school education he entered the drygoods business. In 1825 he became partner in the Bridgeport, Conn firm of Smith & Lounsbery, and met with considerable
success. In 1829 he was appointed postmaster of Bridgeport and remained in that position several years. A few years ago he retired from business. He leaves a widow
and seven children, two of which are in business in Wall street. The funeral will take place at his house to-morrow afternoon. I am not related & have no other info/
