CAMERON, Mo. - David F. Lovelady Sr., 83, formerly of Holt County, Mo., passed away at a Cameron veteran's center on Sunday, April 29, 2007. Born in Forest City, Mo., he graduated from Forest City High School. He served overseas in the United States Army from 1943 to 1946. David worked for the Missouri State Highway Department for 29 years. In 1952, he married Doris Paxton. She preceded him in death in 1984. In 1986, he married Rosemary Yoakum. She survives of their Cameron home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Mary (Noland) Lovelady; infant son, Terry; infant daughter, Candy; brothers, John, Harry, Fred, Pood, Jim and Charlie; and sisters, Bertha and Mabel. Additional survivors include his daughter, Virginia Ashlock of St. Joseph; sons, David F. Lovelady Jr. and Larry Lovelady, both of St. Joseph; stepsons, Carl Sampsel of Clarksdale, Mo.; Keith Coleman of Liberal, Kan.; and Ward E. "Eddie" Long of Cameron; stepdaughter, Velma Hoecker of St. Joseph; 29 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Family visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the service at 11 a.m. Wednesday, both at Chamberlain Funeral Home, Oregon, Mo. Interment, with military rites: at Mount Hope Cemetery in Mound City, Mo.
