I mis-spoke on the information. The death certificate I have is for Lawson L Lowrance son of Henderson Lowrance and Jane Culver. I also have the death cert on my relative and his brother William Edward Lowrance His father Henderson Lowrance and Jennie Culver. The Lawson I found in the 1870 Wilkes county is Hnderson's son Lawson. However the 1850 census Alexander county still shows page 124 b Henderson age 30 Jane 30 Alvin 8 Martha 6 Lawson 4 Morton? 2
page 112 b AE Lowrance 51 Ruey 50 Matilda 22 Leander 20 Margaret 18 Candis 14? Susanah 16 Nelson 12 Sally 10 Paulson 8 Lawson 6 so it still appears there was a Lawson age 6 youngest son of Alexander and Ruey and a Henderson age 30 oldest son of Alexander and Ruey. What do you think?
Just talking this out to myself. In further searches I find that some list a Lanson E Lowrance as last son of Alexander Eveland Lowrance. This would make more sense and then Henderson could in fact be Lawson Henderson.Henderson's son is listed as Lawson Lafayette by some married to Margaret Querry. This again seems to match up, Henderson's wife in Gayford Lowrance's book was listed as Jane Gaultney but on death certs as Jane or Jennie Culver. There were Culvers living near Henderson Samuel and his wife. One researcher does show them as parents of Jane.Is there a bible or something that backs up any of this information?? Thanks
