Hi Alex, I found all your information very interesting. I'm in Parral, Chihuahua; my mother's name is Rosario Loya Loya. She was born in Baqueteros, Chihuahua, where all her ancestors she can remember were also born. Like you said, she has an european appearance (blue eyes, brown hair, white skin), and so do all the family. Another interesting fact of her family is that almost all were Loya Loya; I mean that the most of the people in the town Baqueteros were Loya. I don't know when was Baqueteros founded, but I'm pretty sure that the Loyas were some of the founders; anyway, you say in your message that the origin of the Loya solar in Chihuahua is probably in the first half of the 1800’s. But I have information that one of the first residents in Parral (which was founded in 1631) was someone named Loya. I have this information from a book of history of Parral (Tres Siglos de Historia), which in a list of 135 persons from the first census says “..., Juan de Lidiana, El platero, Loya, Catillana, el que está junto a el, ...”. Unfortunately, there is no name. If you have any further information on this, or you find what i’m telling you interesting, please write me. Thanks.
