Hi--Have been looking at civil war records on ancestory.com since I read your posts. If I am reading correctly, and if it's the same person, George R. died of wounds 14 june 1864, having served in the virginia infantry. Benjamin apepars to have died on/about August 10, 1863, based on pension reocrds. His wife's name appears to have been spelled--Emerine according tot eh pension reocrds. I am planning to send in a request for his pension record (interesting stuiff if you never have obtained any), but if you have done that you know it takes 3-4 months to get a repsosne.
Still interested if you think the Lyght/Light connection is correct--seems to have been lots of intermarrying between families back then-guess there were few families to chose from!
