I've been tracing my family for a very short time (less than a year) butdo have it traced from 1903 back to 1550.

It appears that until 1809 the male Lyerlys only married german women and primarily settled in the south.Why this is so is strange since most german families settled in Pennslyvania.
Records chiefly trace the descendants of Johnann Cristophe Layrle's sons, Christopher Lyerly (1763-1832), Jacob Lyerly (1776-1843, and Peter Lyerly (1756-1830).
Alas, I have no photos whatsoever of my family as I left home at age 16 (I am the "Black Sheep").But whatever info I have I will share.
