Our family diary holds an entry that lists 9 Oct 1878 for the death of "Uncle Lyman". Also Alice May Lyman who died 17 July 1884. (According to Gen of LYman Family in Canada, the death date for same was 24 Sept 1889.) Our family diary dates to the mid to latter part of 1800 and was written in by Jeannie Caroline (Cook) Davis and her mother Myra (Lamb) Cook. We have photos we believe are of Lyman family members but do not have names associated. Cook was a merchant in Lower Canada. Lamb was from VT on the border of Canada who migrated with the Parmelee family. Parmelee men were deputy ministers of Parliament, superintendents of schools and were involved in trade and commission (Rufus, Rotus, Charles Henry, William Grannis, George William). Anyone having information regarding the Lyman's associated to these families in Canada is much appreciated.
