HI again Debbi:
Sounds like you're having a bad week.If you check Marlene's messages (on this forum)#141 and #147 of Jan. 12th and 19th respectively, she has been kind enough to give explicit directions to the Elcho church we were discussing.BTW it is the Elcho United Brethern Church. This one is listed in Welland Library site.
Thanks for the info, but I don't think the Edward you mentioned is the great grandfather I am looking for.I'm looking for Edmund and I think he was born abt. 1821.I think it's him listed on the 1871 census. He was 50 at the time. Our Minnie, as discussed in November, was not Minnie Vaughan. She was Minne May Lymburner (b. 18890 grandaughter of Edmund Vaughan b.1821 & Alexander Lymburner.b.1824.Let me know if you have any more trouble accessing welland library and, if you like, I'll go in for you and check out the Vaughs. Also saw some Doans there but can't remember which churches.
See ya!
