Hi from an Australian Lymburn. I have managed to trace some of my family tree using both the ScotlandsPeople and the FamilySearch websites. My grandfather- Hugh Lymburn, migrated to Adelaide in 1923 from Saltcoats, Ayrshire, Scotland. His parents were William and Mary (McIntyre) Lymburn. They had 8 children: Mary (b.20.11.1890 Glasgow; James (b.02.03.1892 Glasgow); Elizabeth (b.27.04.1895);John McIntyre(b. 16.09.1897 Ayr);Hugh (b.01.01.1900 Ayr - my grandfather); Georgina Jane (b.10.11.1901 Ayr); Agnes (b.06.05.1903 Ayr); and Marguerite (b.31.01.1905 Ayr). William's parents were James and Jane (Nairn)Lymburn. They had 10 children: John (b.21.07.1856 Coylton); Alexander (b.04.05.1858 Coylton); Andrew (b.02,04.1860 West Kilbride); James (b.11.05.1862 Ayr- migrated to Michigan, US);Jane (b.20.09.1864 Kirkmichael); William (b:09.01.1867 Straiton - my great grandfather); Hugh (b.15.04.1869 Straiton); Margaret (b:23.04.1871 Straiton); Agnes (b: 12.11.1873 Kirkmichael); and Hugh (b.24.10.1875 Kirkmichael). James's parents were John and Margaret(Bryden) Lymburner. They had 7 children: James (c.05.03.1820 Girvan); Agnes (c.02.04.1822 Dailly); Hugh (c. 02.04.1822 Dailly); John (c.26.11.1824 Dailly); William (c 15.02.1829 Dailly); James (b. 12.06.1831 Dailly - my great great grandfather); and Alexander (b. 28.08.1835 Dailly). I am broadening my research to find out about the brothers and sisters of my relatives and their families. I have noted numerous Lymburn / Lymburner families in Canada, the US, New Zealand, and even other Australian states, and am wondering where our links might be? Can anyone help me? Thanks.
