I have an interesting story about Hannah (Whitworth) Mabray.
She is my 4th great grandmother.2 years ago, my brother (Gage Bean) and his wife (Bethany Montgomery) of Clarksville, Arkansas, were expecting their 1st child. Both his and her families were good about keeping up with geneology, so they decided to look at their family trees to find a name for their daughter.First they looked on my brother's family tree, and when they saw the name "Hannah Whitworth" they decided that "Hannah" was one of their favorite names of all the women on the chart. Then, at a later date, they were looking at Bethany's chart, and noticed that she also had a 4th great grandmother named Hannah. On my brother's chart, it said Hannah Whitworth, while on his wife's chart, it said Hannah Mabray, so they did not make the connection. They just thought it was neat that both of them had a 4th great grandmother named Hannah, so they decided to name their daughter that.
Well, little Hannah was born on March 18, 1999.A few months later it somehow came to light that the two Hannahs from the two charts could possibly be the same Hannah. So, they got the two charts together, and sure enough, the birth and death dates matched, and when they saw that she married a "Mabray" it all made sense.
Our whole family is just inspired by the fact that my brother and his wife have the SAME 4th great grandmother. They are distant cousins, and didn't even know it!And, how funny it is that they named their daughter after someone in the family tree, not even realizing that it was the same lady on both of their family trees. My brother jokes that if you print up a family tree for his daughter, you can start with Hannah and end with Hannah, and the tree makes a circle.LOL
Anyway, I have no info any farther back than Hannah Whitworth, and I have no birth or death dates for her even.If anyone knows who her parents were please let me know.
All I know is that Hannah and Joseph Mabray's daughter, Emaline, is the one I'm descended through. My brother's wife is decended through another daughter of theirs, who I believe might have married a Cowan.
