Michele, I have just started to track the MacDonalds at Keppoch.
As I understand it there were so many MacDonalds that they use family nicknames. "Stanley" was the nickname of one of the MacDonald families in the Keppoch area at the time. Alexander (Stanley) MacDonald was my wife Jane's great great great grandfather - through /Mary(Stanley) MacDonald /Charles MacDonald/Mary MacDonald/Helen Van Horne/ and Jane Van Horne. When Mary (Stanley) MacDonald married (Little) Allan MacDonald the decendants became part of the (Little Allan MacDonald) nickname. It sounds weird but that seems to be the way it was.
The info I have on Alexender (Stanley) MacDonald born 1814 in Scotland is: 1. Alexander (Stanley) MacDonaldwas born about 1814 in Scotland. He died in 1874/1881 in Morvan, Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
