I'm advised that the fonts whereabouts is known to the museum and those of local genealogy bent. It is moldering away as a flower pot in the back garden of the Selkirk Arms. In my humble opinion something so ancient and with especial religious significance should be displayed with care and reverence in the oldest church in kirkcudbright along with an interpretive plaque. Greyfriars Church is the obviously appropriate spot. Shame on the Selkirk Arms owner and shame on the town of Kirkcudbright.
