Note: I noticed this listing in the Jackson County, TN Census Records, followed through to 1880 Census Records on this family, and I do not know which name is correct, Maddux or Madden/Maden. (Hosea Maddux born born 1810 NC is gone in the 1870 Census Listing). I do not have a copy of the 1860 Census Records. Can someone clear this up as to which surnmae is correct.
I found this listing to be interesting since Craven Maddux also settled in Jackson County, Tn. Many of Craven's descendants still reside in Jackson and Putnam Counties, TN and the surrounding community.
Brothers Michael Maddux, Schofield and Nathaniel Maddux were found in East Tennesse Records. They are uncles to Craven Maddux.
