According to "Independence Pioneer," Vol.II, Pg. 57 states that Jomathan died in 1834 before his last child Mary Ann was born.Wife "atsy" died in 1832 and he married Rebecca Hammond at the age of 70.Had he lived he would have been a new father at 74.As this article was written by Robert Craig, I feel certain that it is very accurate. He also states that Cowden did good research on the trial but there are some inaccuracies in the linage.
I use the Family Tree software and submitted to WFT. Vol. III.There are only 155 names as I was just getting it on computer.I Recently submitted another with 700 names but I don't know where to locate it at present.I have a Perry Green b. 1722 in N. C.and one in 1740 in England.I believe the one in 1722 is Johathan's father and can't make the connection to the one in 1740 in England or the Mackaness family in Scotland. My grandmother, Nora Neal Arnold Freeze was the Grand-daughter of Nancy Magness Arnold, the daughter of Perry Green Magness 1896-1929.She was born in Arkansas in 1813.
