Elaine, I think I have a match for you on Adolph Mailloux. My Great Grandfather Charles Bourbonnais dit Brunet had two sisters Lucy Brunet b. 1833 and married Jacob Mailloux on April 29, 1851.They had a son Joseph Adolph born February 8, 1852.
Lucy's sister Emily b. 1832 married Jacobs brother, Abraham Mailloux b. Jan. 30, 1821.They married on Jan. 7, 1851 and had a son Joseph-Gideon b. Jan. 16, 1852.
Both of these marriages took place at Ste. Anne's Catholic Church in Detroit where my line of Bourbonnais dit Brunet settled.Appears that the Mailloux brothers took their brides back to Essex County.
I am looking for any other children of these two Maillou families and any decendents of from my two Brunet sisters.
FYI - my name has decended from Bourbonnais dit Brunet to Brumel to Burnell.Think the French were a little free with the name change thing.
