Re: William Maitland of Wester Balgrochan, Campsie, Stirlingshire.

I'm descended from a James Maitland, born circa 1835 in Campsie. his father was Daniel Maitland, but so far have been unable to trace a birth record to find out where he was born. The Maitlands at wester Balgrochan seem to have been landed farmers, while, so far, all my lot appear to have been poor!
