Thanks for your reply. I'm interested in both Wm. K. and Kate Makemson because Wm Makemason represented James Thomas Holland in a murder trial in New York City in 1886. Holland was indicted for the murder of a Thomas Davis. His attorneys were: former Confederate General Roger A. Pryor of NYC, Wm. K. Makeson of Georgetown, TX, E.E. Price (I have no inforamtion on him) and Thomas F. Gradya Tammany Hall leader. Holland was acquitted by the NYC jury in just 10 minutes. The case bordered on the sensational at the time. Kate first marriage was to William H. Holland, James T. Holland's older brother. William died Sept. 20. 1882. My great-grandmother, Emma Eugenia Holland Tyler, is the older sister of James and William. Do you have any information on Willam H. Holland, such as his birthdate? I know he was born in 1850 but not the month and date; the cause on his death; and if Kate and William had any children.
I'm planning to write a paper on James Holland and his siblings once I gather all the information I can find. I would like biogrpahical information on Wm. K. Makemson or where I can find this information. Your assistance is appreciated. R. C. Dumas firstname.lastname@example.org
