I happen to live in a house built by the MALCOLMSONs in 1841 for the Company Surgeon, Dr. Martin.Across the road lies the gigantic Malcolmson mansion, MAYFIELD HOUSE, now a complete ruin. Up the road about 1.5 miles lies MILFORD HOUSE, little of this left except a very imposing arch (the main entrance?). This was inhabited by the Morley family, the wife being a Malcolmson. There are quite a few others around ... a few in perfect condition e.g. WOODLOCK HOUSE, nearby, for many years a home for elderly people run by the Sisters of Cluny. Then there's MINELLA HOUSE HOTEL, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary ... and I almost forgot ... CLODIAGH (or CLODAGH) HOUSE, near me, now vacant, but bought by the local Health Board for use in the near future. There are others also!!!
Am in touch with Ralph & Jean Erwin in San Diego, who are attending the reunion. Have many photos for them, and hopefully will get them off in time, as I'm recovering from the 'flu!Have a great time.
