I noticed the name "John Makra" as an immigrant in a post here.
If so, would have he been born in the early 1900s?
If so, would have he been in the Pittsburgh area during his adult life?
All this concerns my fraternal grandfather, whom I never met. His name was John, and the surname was pronounced "Makra" or "Makura", I have never seen it spelled.
John was supposed to be from eastern europe, I have heard Hungary and Ukraine. Don't know anything for sure.
Thanks
