If Kareen Johnson is still looking at these pages I would like to say that all my ancestors whom I have been able to trace were from the area of Barnsley which she said Elizabeth moved into. The district is part of Darfield and my ancestors lived in and around Wombwell, Hoyland, Worsbrough and Jump. I have traced my family of Malkins back to Robert Malkin who was born in 1819 and have information of other Malkins living in the area from 1851. The only Elizabeth who would fit the birth date of 1846 was a daughter of William Malkin who was born in 1810 and had three sons and three daughters between 1835 and 1850, but this was on the 1851 census and maybe she had not moved at that time. If there is any other information regarding relatives who may have been in this area when her Malkin family moved there I would like to hear and maybe there could be some connection. Frank Malkin.
