I found this years ago and can't remember where.
Fannie Malone (Armstrong) McCormck was born in Northumberland County, Pennsylvania, in August, 1785, and she died December 26, 1843. Her father, Daniel Armstrong, of Bald Eagle Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania, served as a Revolutionary soldier, in Morgan's Rifle Regiment, Third Pennsylvania Continental Line, and in Captain Robinson's Pennsylvania Rangers of Northumberland. Daniel Armstrong married, in 1783, Nancy Ann Malone, born May 15, 1755; died December 25, 1842. Daniel Armstrong was a son of Andrew Armstrong, who came from Scotland to America in 1754, and located in York County, Pennsylvania, he having been a brother of General John Armstrong, Sr., of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. His wife was of the Elliott family of Scotland and a descendant of Martin Elliott, who went to the Scottish border with Sir Walter Scott when the latter there obtained the material for his ballads of the Armstrongs and Elliotts. His first wife, Nancy Ann Malone, was a daughter of Richard Malone, who died in 1801. Richard Malone served in the Third Pennsylvania Continental Line, (Colonel Craig, Captain Robinson), in the War of the Revolution. In 1773 he established his home six miles from Fort Augusta, and in the Revolution this home was the meeting place of the county committee of safety. His later home was known as “Malones Near the Nest,” in Bald Eagle Township, Centre County, Pennsylvania.
I was also told that Nancy Anne Malone that married Daniel Armstrong was born in Carlisle, Cumberland Co. PA May 14, 1755 and died 1842 Columbus, Franklin Co. OH
Also James Ramsey that was mentioned in Richard Malone's Will was living next to him in the 1790 Census. I think if we could figure out how he was connected to Richard we might find more clues regarding Richard or his wife.
James Ramsey is mentioned again below
