Does anyone on the forum have any information as to what became of this man, supposedly he was born 1728 Charles Co, MD, and the son of Tubman Mankin. There are many comments in many research sites that have him dying at that battle , but the date doesn't fit with the date of the Battle at Blue Licks, KY which was in Aug 1782. This would mean that if he indeed were there , there is nothing at the web site relating to that Battle of Blue Licks to indicate he died there and if he didn't then he would have been around long enough to have fathered more thant the one son: William b. 1754 (who went to Columbiana Co, OH) . This would mean he could have fathered other children with Susannah Maynor b. 1730 , was a Quaker who was thrown out of the church in 1747. Does anyone have any information on her further existance beyond the birth of William b. 1754? And has anyone researched all the lines from Patrick County, Va and Surry Co,and Stokes Co, NC? If so will you share your data with others. I am not asking for a handout of another researcher's work, just some questions don't add up . Hezekiah , William, Jesse, John, James , Mary are the names who are supposed to belong to a Mankin male from that area. Any input would be most appreciated.
