Washington Irving Marble, was born in Clarence township, Calhoun County, Michigan, November 27, 1851, and died at his home near Nashville, Michigan, December 20, 1919, at the age of 68 years and 22 days. He is survived by a widow and three children, Ambrose of Battle Creek, Russell of San Francisco, and Mabel of Grand Rapids, Mich. He has lived for 31 years on the farm where he passed away, and his daily life is an enduring obituary written in the hearts of those who knew him best. Funeral services were held at the home at two o'clock, Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. John G.C. Irving of the Baptist church, and Interment was at Lakeview, where the Pythian burial service was preformed by loving brothers of Ivy lodge, No. 37, K. of P.
W.I. Marble married Mabel Price, daughter of Alexander & Clarissa (Brown) Price, March 20, 1889 in Grand Rapids, Kent Co., MI. This was a 2nd marriage for W.I. He married 1st Pauline Foote September 17, 1873 in Calhoun Co., MI.
