Marburg Germany ca. 1740, appears to be the area of concentrations of MARCRANDER families descended from a MACRANDER with the occupation of woolen weaver who was originally from the city of Wetzlar am Lahn,Rhineland Province of the Kingdom of Purssia. I have considerable notes on the earlier MARCRANDER families in Marburg and the later generation descendents who came to the U.S.A. and settled in Saint Louis, Missouri in the 1800s and a separate group in New Jersy and New York City, New York.
Please contribute additional histories on these early families from your own data banks to help round out the story of MACRANDER/MARCRANDER and their earliest ancestor, Gerck LANGEMANN of Helsen, kr. Twiste, Countship of Waldeck (later renamed as kr. Waldeck, Hessen, Germany near the resort spa of Bad Arolsen) whose son Arnoldt LANGEMANN changed his name to ARNOLDUS MACRANDER.
