Hi Jodie, Thanks so much for the tombstone info. The birthdate for Mary A. MARCUS matches my Mary's birthdate exactly! Since her children were living with their grandparents in 1900, it's very logical that she died around 1898.Her last child was born c1895. I really was curious about whether she had died or why her children were living with grandparents. Now I'll search for her husband. Her husband must have been C.C. MARCUS. Interestingly enough, there is a Charles C. MARCUS who's listed in TN World War I Veterans.I wonder if he could be a son of C.C. by a later marriage. It's always fascinating to try to solve the mystery.
I don't think I know of a Della EAVES. Maybe I replied to someone about the EAVES name but not specifically about Della. The only connection I have found so far to EAVES (besides the MARCUS name) is that Stephen W. EAVES married Ruth CROCKETT, sister of my gg grandmother, Rebecca, 21 Oct 1844.Their children were Alabama, Martha A., Eugene, Isaac S., Mary E., and Ruth J. I feel that Thomas K. has some connection to Stephen W. EAVES, but I don't know how he's connected. If I come across any EAVES or MARCUS info, I'll pass it on to you, and I reallyappreciate your help. Thanks so much. Brenda
