Joy,
I'm sorry, but I don't have anything about the Marcy family in WV.I know that some of them disappear from VA and DC, so they may have gone to WV, but I've never tried to trace any of them out of the area. My direct line of Marceys stops with Jane, who married John Payne in DC in 1832.Jane's father Thomas died sometime after 1850.
There is a Richard B. Marcey living in Georgetown, DC in the 1830 census who may be a son of Thomas (no direct evidence yet).I have not found hm after that census, so it's very possible he moved from the area.In 1830 he was 30-39, with a female 30-39, female 10-14, female 5-9, male 5-9, and male under 5.Let me know if this might be your ancestor.
