Hope all is well. Sorry I haven't responded for a year but things got crazy here and I just dropped the ball...so to speak. In answer to you question: I do not know my lineage back to John Marcy 1662-1724. I have been able to trace it to John Sullivan Marcy b. 1799 Woodstock, VT but have been unable to find his parents! Actually, would like to purchase "History of John Marcy 1662-1724...". Could not find a source to buy it from. Could you help?
By the way, was able to follow your link to "Marcy Family pre-America (prior to 1683)". Have no information except to say that the story my father (Lincoln Marcy b. 1916 Worcester, MA) always told was that John and his brotherwere traveling to America to escape hanging for stealing horses and would have been but their father was the High Sheriff of Limerick. One brother rowed out to Nantucket and was an early settler and the other went to Woodstock, CT and was an early settler of that town. I heard a similar story while listening to WOR NYC radio several years ago by one of John Marcy's descendents.
