From Dr. Edward Marcy, I am decended from his son Edward Marcy Jr. (must have been a brother of Cassies?) born between 1764-1770 in White Oak, NC.He is in the 1790, 1800 and 1810 Onslow Ct. Census.
Then his son Zadack, born 1815 White Oak, NC (1850 Census of Onslow Ct.)(Moved to Meridan MS before the Civil War)
Then his son Zadock who was my great-Grandpa who served in the Civil War, was wounded, moved to Falls Ct. Texas died and was buried in Lubbock Cemetery, Lubbock, Ct. Tx.
Then his son John Michael, my grandfather who lived and farmed and is buried in Lubbock Ct., Tx
Then my mother Margaret Estelle Marcy Richardson, who is still living in Lubbock Ct.
My records show that the father of Dr. Edward Marcy was a man by the name of Edward Moseley who was quite famous and surveyed the line between North Carolina and Virginia. However, I have no documentation that this is correct.Do either of you have any information about the ancestors of Dr. Edward Marcy??The names of Cassie (I had a great aunt named that also) and Zadok appear in almost every generation and they seem to be Conn. names also.
Thank you, Norma Richardson Smith Fort Worth, Texas
