Marino/Geraci/Blom family
I am searching for information on our great-great grandfather Frank Marino.Frank was born in Palermo, Sicley, Italy in 1858.He came to America (although I cannot yet find him on any ship logs.He settled inPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania. He was married to Eleonora ?? and has at least 3 children: Francis, Eleonora, John Paul. Their daughter, Eleonora died at 16 months in 1889 and she is buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Pennsyvania. By 1894, Frank married Cecelia Geraci at St. Patrick's Church in Washington D.C. The marriage certificate shows that Cecelia was also born in Italy and Frank's father's name was Frank P. Marino. They had a son, Salvadore, who was born in 1895.Salvadore married Frances Blom in 1917. The Washington D.C. Census for 1900 shows Frank and Cecelia living in D.C. with Francis (from Frank's 1st marriage) and Salvadore.Frank's occupation was listed as a marchant on his marriage certifcate, a shoemaker in the early census records, and finally as a fruit vendor at the Market Place in D.C. with his sons John Paul and Salvadore working with him as clerks. In 1920 - the D.C. Census Report shows Frank,Cecelia,Salvadore and his wife Frances living with the Clark family.
Frank was killed in a streetcar accident in 1926 in D.C.
Any info on this family would be greatly appreciated!
