Now, did you notice that there is a small conflict about Carter Markham's age? His headstone states that he was born in 1821 but the 1880 census state that he was 57 yrs old. A two year difference. Whats a year or two? Well, let me add that I found that there is a Carter Markham of Pike Co., AR that married a Lucinda B. Thompson, 02-06-1842, according to the Hot Spring Co. AR Marriages 1825-1853 Records. According to the census, Carter and Lucinda had children: Melissa Ann, John Thompson, and Albert Carter.
There you have it. This is all I have thus far. I hope I been of help to you. Email me sometime when you get a chance. I'd love to hear from you and what you have on the Markham clan.
