TOM F. MAROON SERVICES SET SATURDAY AT 10
Funeral services for Tommy Floyd Maroon, 68, 309 E. 11th, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Calvin First Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Elliot officiating. Burial will be in the Calvin Cemetery.
Mr. Maroon died Tuesday evening in St. John's Hospital, Tulsa.
Born September 12, 1903 in Boswell, he served with the Rock Island Railroad for 48 years before retiring in 1968. He went to Calvin from Bowers in 1911 and had lived in Holdenville since 1951. He married Maggie Smith in Calvin in 1924.
Survivors include his wife, Maggi Smith of the home; one son, Melvin Maroon, Bristow; one daughter, Mildred Dockrey, Calvin; one brother, Walter Maroon, Fresno, Calif.; five sisters, Virgie Pickett, Holdenville; Lela Jay, Holdenville; Delores Cody, Moderia [Madera], Calif; Dora McCorn, Fresno; and Lillie Hollingsworth, Lake Tahoe, Calif.; three half brothers, Leonard, Floyd and Henry Hollingsworth, all of [Madera]; and one step brother, Edward Hollingsworth, [Madera].
