Found your old (2001) thread re Marriott married Rosa Shreeve from Ticknall.Don't know if you're still looking, but here is information I have. (Only recently started research - Joseph Marriott (killed 1st World War) was another son of Thomas Draper Marriott. His son John was my wife's father)
Tom Marriott in 1881 census age 3 months., with family In 1881 census age 10 with family, but entry is under Marriot - last T missing In 1891 census age 20 as a visitor - shown with the 'Tapuso' family in Litchurch, but Tapuso name is an error - it should be 'Topliss'.(I derived from earlier 1881 census data) In 1901 census Tom with wife Rosa etc.
One complication - there were two Tom Marriotts born in Ticknall in 1st quarter of 1871.The census links above are OK for 1871 & 1881 while Tom with family, and 1891 probably links OK to 1901 because of Blacksmith occupation, but nothing definitely links latter two to first two as far as I know.
There is a Tom Marriott age 30 shown as a lodger in Chesterfield in the 1901 census but I cant find him in 1871, 1881, or 1891. I assume he is the other Tom born in 1871 and he could equally well link to the 1871/1881 census above rather than the Tom with Rosa.I haven't evidence one way or the other.Do you ?
I don't have any certificates for any of this - just downloads of census and the birth & marriage infor from BMD
