My gg-grandfather Francis (Frank) Marron (b 1845?) and wife Anne Jordan (b 1841?) lived in Co. Louth.Their twin children Owen and Mary, appear in the IGI as being born in Ardee, Louth in 1866 with the surnames "Marran".
These Marrons came to Middlesbrough, England, where they appear in the 1871 census.Another set of twins, Patrick and Anne were born in 1872, then they then moved to Port Clarence, Co. Durham and son James was born in 1878.
I believe Frank's siblings remained in Ireland. They were Mary (m. Wynn), Owen (m. Quigley), Judy (m. Connolly) and Bridget (m. Lannin).
Frank's own son Owen died in 1883, but a "cousin" Owen, aged 23, appears living with him in the 1891 census. The birthplace is listed as Middlesbrough!
I'd appreciate any information on the Irish roots of this Marron family, any information on Anne Jordan's family and any information on what happened to Frank's brothers and sisters.I also welcome any contact from persons researching Marrons in the Middlesbrough area.
