Check out the History of Winthrop Massachusettes. At the battle of Worchester, 3 september 1651 Oliver Cromwell took ten thousand scotch Prisoners. he sent 282 of the to boston in the ship John and Sara. Among them was John Marrow/Merrow/Morrow this is because the surname was spelled all three ways in the early records of Massachusettes. He lived in reading, and in a deposition in 1669 gives his age as 44. Doubtless, descended from him was a daniel Marrow of Holliston who married Elizabeth Harding 29 May 1759. There is a vague and cryptic reference that daniel Marrow served in the French and Indian War as well as the Revolution. I have found evidence that he served in the Revolutionary War. I have so much more on this subject so feel free to ask me! Oh and by the way, there are lots of Thomases in my lineage!
