Thanks for the information. I do not know the relationship between Mary Wade and the relative who married Lord Nelson's sister. (Brother, Uncle, ancestor, sibling, etc)My family has come up with some information that Mary wade had a realtie who was a 2nd lt. in george washington's Army. however, their is some confusion as to whether it is the same ancestor or not.
A while back i did read a biography on Lord Nelson. "THe Nelson Touch," by Ernle Bradford. I will try to check it out again. If you come up with anything on Anna, please let me know.
As I recall, when Lord Nelson died (according to the above mentioned Nelson Biography) because his only surviving child was his Illigitimate daughter, Horatia Nelson Thompson, by Lady Emma Hamilton (Thompson was made up to cover up his parantage of the child, he gave his several titles to his a brother, and his sister Catherine's Son (on the condition that they take on the name Nelson) MAybe it is is possible that the sister that my family is referring to is not THE Lord Nelson, but maybe one of the sisters ofone of the male heirs to whom he lived his titles.
