I am one of a group working on an official history of the Wisconsin 23rd Regiment . One of our men is Henry Malty "Matley". He was b. c. 1837 in England, came to America in 1850, prob. with his parents,enlisted 15 Aug 1862 at Portage, Columbia Co. WI.He m. c. 1870 to Ann B. b. c. 1833/6 in EnglandThey lived at Blue Earth Co., MN in 1870, at Cerro Gordo Co., IA in 1880 & in California in 1900. by 1910 anne is listed as a Widow at san Joaguin, CA.
Henry d. 12 Mar 1909.They had 2 children.Bessa was one, b. in MN.
