Portsmouth Star Newspaper (Portsmouth, Virginia) May 19, 1910 MRS. MANDY E. MAYNOR Mrs. Mandy E. Maynor, wife of Mr. L.C. Maynor, died at her late residence, No. 607 Chestnut street, this morning at 7 o'clock. Mrs. Maynor was 30 years old and besides her husband she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ausley; one sister, Mrs. Hopkins, and two brothers, Messrs. W.B. and Jodie Ausley. The remains will be shipped by tonight's Seaboard Air Line train to Durham, NC, where the interment will take place.

MAYNOR Former Durham Lady Dies Thursday in Portsmouth Mrs. Lonnie Maynor, who died Thursday in Portsmouth, Va. was buried yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock in Rose of Sharon cemetery in the country. The remains were shipped here yesterday afternoon and the funeral procession went from here direct to the country burying ground. A number of Durham friends followed. Mrs. Maynor was a niece of Mr. H.M. Cates, of this city, and was before her marriage the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Ausley of Portsmouth. Mrs. Maynor had lived in Durham since her marriage. They returned sometime ago to Portsmouth. Pneumonia of a few days of unusual severity was the cause of her death. She leaves a husband and a small child.

Maynor (b. 1879/1880 d. ? 1919) on June 4, 1900 in Durham, NC. Amanda was the daughter of Thomas and Emeline Cates Ausley and granddaughter of Isaiah and Rhoda Ray Cates of Orange County, NC and of Almond and Amanda Brasington Ausley of Chatham County. Lonnie was a barber and the son of William Judson and Mary Ann Phillips Maynor of Moore/Chatham counties, NC and the grandson of William and Chloe Phillips Maynor of Chatham/Sampson Counties.
