I recently found this info on a paper written by my grandmother, Verna (Maywood) Rome (b. 1896 d. 1990?)."My grandfather, Charles Maywood married Mary Rice.He was a farmer and Methodist preacher.Their children were Charles, James, Bertha, Hattie and William.Charles married Katherine Thomas of Winnipeg and they had Clarence, Hazel (1896?), Kathleen, Rosemary and Maude (who died young).James, a farmer, married Mina (Last name?) and they had Harold (farmer in Peace River District), Mabel (nurse), Kathleen (nurse), Percy (farmer in Peace R. Dist and fought in WWI), Elsie (nurse), Orval (Methodist minister and farmer), Bertha (nurse) and William (head of Water Dept in Princeton BC)I believe he may have lived with William and his children, Olive and Verna Maywood, from the time he was little; Bertha Maywood married Albert Clark and had Feddie (Freddie - no r on paper) and he was buried in Flanders Field, May (teacher), Douglas (farmer);Hattie (a nurse) married James (Last name?) and they had no children.William married Elizabeth Henry.(William served as a soldier in the Indian uprising known as the Reil Rebellion. He went to England in WWI, the day after Verna and Fred married in 1916. Verna says the only other time she saw her dad was at the station in Saskatoon as she and her family were moving to the USA).They had Verna (1896) and Olive (1898) and then Elizabeth died in 1898.William remarried to Eliza McKenzie, who apparently died in 1936. William apparently died in an Old Soldier's Home in Saskatchewan at 86 years old, a few years after Eliza died. Verna married Fred Rome (USA) and they had Bruce, Al, Bob, Grant, Larry (died in youth), Audre and Dick.Olive married Frank Carley and they had Mildred, Francis and Leonard.Olive died in 1939 (although Grandma's paper says 1945).
