Nancy McAliley McKinney Pritchett is still among the missing. She was last seen (at least by me) on the 1850 Madison Co., IL, Census. Nancy was listed with her second husband, Elijah Pritchett (the enumerator spelled it Prickett). Also in the household were Frances, 4; Emma, 2; and John H., 11/12.
Frances is not a Pritchett, but the daughter of Nancy and and her first husband, William McKinney, of Fayette Co., IL. William died in early 1846, just a few months after Frances was born. Emma and John H. are the children of Nancy and Elijah who married in 1847.
The half-sisters, Frances McKinney and Emma Pritchett, are the only members of this family whose existence after 1850 can be verified. Frances' maternal uncle, John D. McAliley of Fayette County, in 1857 was granted guardianship of his niece "an orphan without father or mother." In 1864, Frances married Samuel Wood Osborn. A year later, Emma wed John Willard Bright.
I'd be extremely appreciative of any clues which would help to run Nancy, Elijah and young John H. Pritchett to ground.
