I've come across some Marion Co. McAnelly's in researching my ancestor, Jacob Paul. The information I have is included in this post. I don't know if these are your McAnelly's, but I expect they are. Perhaps there is something here that you don't have that may help you.
-----------------------------------------------------------
First, some background. Jacob Paul married Mary Ragland 13 September 1866, in Marion County, KY. This was his 3rd/4th marriage. The marriage bond listed this as Mary's 3rd marriage. I don't have proof, but believe the following about Mary Ragland may be true:
Mary Ragland’s place of birth was listed as KY on the license application for her (third) marriage to Jacob Paul. Her age in the 1870 Marion Co., KY census is 58, which would make her year of birth about 1812. The filing of her will on 19 August 1872 implies her death occurred shortly before that time. From this will, we know her sons have the McAnelly surname. The LDS IGI however, has information about a Mary Banister that, while not complete or a perfect match with our documentation about the Mary Ragland that married Jacob Paul, is close enough to suggest it may be referring to the same person. While LDS IGI information is not verified and often contains errors, it also can be useful as a starting point for additional research.
From the LDS IGI: Mary Banister, b. 15 July 1804 in North Carolina, d. 15 July 1872 in Marion County, KY. Buried in Isaacs Cemetery, Marion County, Kentucky
Marriage 1: George McAnelly, about 1834 in Marion Co., KY
Children:i.Nancy McAnelly, b. 10 May 1835 in Marion Co.,
KY, d. 26 March 1930 in Marion Co., KY. Buried in Dever and Cooley Cemetery, Marion Co., KY. Married James Dever about 1857 in Marion Co., KY.
Marriage 2: Daniel Ragland, between 1846 and 1850.
------------------------------------------------------------
In the 1850 Marion Co. census (page 413b) Polly Ragland is listed as wife of Danile Ragland (from a transcription, don't know if his name was mis-transcribed) and Nancy McAnelly is in the household. Her POB was listed as North Carolina.

Here is a transciption of Mary Paul's will. Note the names of her children/grandchildren:
I, Mary Paul, wife of the late Jacob Paul of Marion Co. Ky. do hereby make my last will and testament in manner and form following that is to day.
I desire first that out of cash I now have in hand and cash notes now in hand that all my just debts be paid after first having paid from that same source, my burial and funeral expenses.

I give George Houston McAnelly my grandson the _____ (unreadable notation) crop now in hand and growing and a Bay Colt with a ball face being the only horse colt I now have and one feather b____ (unreadable word), bedding and bedstead.
I give to my oldest Daughter Martha Jane Willson my brown mare after paying to my Executor fifteen ($15) dollars for the benefit of the heirs to my estate.
All the rest of my estate, both real and personal of what nature or kind so ever it may be not herein before particularly deposed of I desire may be equally divided among my children now living and the children of my son (deceased) Martin McAnelly and my grandson George Houston McAnelly son of John Hall McAnelly deceased which I give to them their heirs, Executors, administrations and assigns forever.
And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my Son in law Josiah Willson Executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all other or former wills or testaments by me heretofore made.
In witness thereof I have hereunto affixed my seal this June 21, 1872.

I would be very interested in any information you may have about Mary Banister/McAnelly/Ragland/Paul. Particularly any proof of her identity/marriages and her siblings. I suspect she may have had a sister named Kizzia who married George Cox. Here is some info. about them:
George Cox appears to have had a close relationship with Jacob Paul and his children. It is not known if this was a relationship through blood relation, marriage, or friendship. His occupation is listed as a blacksmith in the 1870 Marion County census. George is not listed in the 1850 census of Marion County. When Jacob Paul married Mrs. Mary Ragland in 1866, George Cox signed the marriage bond for the bride and attested to the bride’s age on the marriage consent form. In 1869, Jacob’s daughter Martha was married at the residence of George Cox. George W. Cox (1832-1877) and his wife Kizzia H. Cox (1837-1899) are both buried in Crews Cemetery, Marion County, Kentucky.

Good luck!
