Cynthia,
Maurice McAulille came from Cty Cork Ireland with his brother David and sister Francis (Fannie)in the 1860's. They were taking her to Idaho to marry her Irish sweethart, David Murray, who had come over with his father to Emmitt Idaho. Maurice stayed in Balto & David & Frances continued to Idaho, where she married David Murray. David McAuliffe became a gold miner in Idaho, remained a batchelor, & died in Idaho.
Maurice married Elizabeth Cowan, who was a daughter of the Cowan's who owned the funeral home in 1872 .My mother told me that the family funerals were always held at the Cowan Funeral Home & she remembers going there as a young girl.
Its possible that Maurice & your Dennis were cousins; particularly given the commonality of churchs, funeral services & burial locations.
I talked with my mother about the members of your family, but she didn't recognize any of the names. I will post more as I find it.
Thanks,
Tom
