If any one question me on my info. go to the Clan MacMillan on the internet. Our family started about the same time but before the Buchanan's clamed we did. This is what I am working on now. From King MacBeth down to Culdee clergymen Cormac, Bishop of Dunkeld. "the Book of Deer", the 16th century pedigree of the lairds of Leny, Pedigrees of the Scottish Clans, Cape-Fear-Scots-L archives, and other info. Some info.I found out is our family clan is "Clann Challuim" our forfather was Gilchrist Gillemaol.
A good book to look at is "the Scottish Highlanders" a personal view by Charles MacKinnon of Dunakin.
Our family is a sept of the MacMillan Clan.
Our family crest is Calmont Argent (silver),a lion Rampant sable (black).
Calm, party per fess sable (top half black) and or (bottom half gold), a lion rampant party per fess or (top half gold) and sable (bottom half black).
I have the Cammon (McCammon)and Camm crests
I use Medieval Manuscripts to recheck some of my info. I need some one to help me with geting eary medieval info.
Like the McCallum Clan from our family.
The MacMasters of Kintail from our family.
The Murchison a sept of the Clann Chalamain an other name of our clann. This sept started with Black Murdock Maccalman died aft. 1520.
If you want to add info. or help let me know.
