Doris Jean Kelley McCamy, 74, of Green Shed Community, Fall Branch, Washington Co TN, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2010, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Washington Co TN, on March 14, 1936.
She was a homemaker, a wonderful mother and grandmother. Doris was a 1954 graduate of Fall Branch High School and worked briefly for the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Jimmy; her parents, Sam and Maude Kelley; her twin brother, Don Kelley and Jeff Kelley.
She is survived by a daughter, Cindy and her husband Wesley Light, of the Green Shed Community; two sons, Ricky and wife Sandra McCamy, of Kingsport, TN, and Billy Joe McCamy, of the Green Shed Community; grandchildren, Heather and Joey Walker, Kathy and Randy Barrett, Danette Kesler, Jason and Tiffany McCamy, Matt and Angela McCamy, and Sarah and Matt Chappell; great grandchildren, Courtney Barrett, Caleb Walker, Trevor Barrett, Macy Walker, Allie McCamy, Hannah McCamy, Gauge Walker, Jake McCamy, and Bryson McCamy; two sisters, Betty Mullins and Tisha Blankenship; two brothers, Sam Kelley and Jim Kelley; several nieces and nephews; and special cousin, Mildred 'Bubba' Ford.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of the hospice floor at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center and also the staff of Brookhaven Manor.
Visitation will be Friday, October 22, 2010, from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m., at the Fall Branch Chapel, of Hamlett- Dobson Funeral Homes.
Funeral Service will follow visitation at 8 p.m., with Rev. Barry Reed officiating. Music will be provided by Roy Dolen and Traci Taylor.
Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2010, at Bethany Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery at 1:45 p.m., for the graveside service.
