Their son, Andrew B. McCampbell.Born, March 22, 1797, in Rockbridge County, Virginia.He read law under his brother, John A. McCampbell, of Knoxville.In 1822 and 1823, he was cashier of the State Bank at Knoxville.He moved to Paris, Tennessee in 1824 and, in 1840, was elected Chancellor of the Western Disgtrict of Tennessee for an eight year term.He declined re-election to that position and positions on the Tennessee Cupreme Court.He traveled by buggy, disliking trains and boats - once he was a "guest" of the Union Army on a boat.Died, January 4, 1884, and is buried at Paris, Tennessee.Married, March 24, 1826, to Sarah Louise Hampton in Henry County, Tennessee.They had three sons in the Confederate Army.
