On the Last day of 1918, the Iolaire steamed out of Kyle of Lochalsh crowded with Lewismen returning from the war, many of them were insight of their homes whe the Iolaire foundered on the rocks of Holm. 205 men perished, while their families waited on the docks for the ships arrival.
My grandfather had 2 brothers whom were lost on this ship. I would like to see if anyone may have a copy of any articles, lists of these souls, to add to my family history. Sincerely Dianne (MACASKILL/MACKENZIE/MACKINNON/MACLEOD).
