Lona McCaslin was born September 19, 1901 in Dallas County, Missouri, the daughter of Joseph and Nancy Cooksey Davison.She entered into rest on May 26, at Cox Medical Center in Springfield at the age of 73 years, 10 months and six days.
On September 23, 1924, she was united in marriage with Leonard McCaslin and one son was born of this union. Mr. McCaslin preceded her in death on April 11, 1970.
Mrs. McCaslin is survived by her son, Lawrence McCaslin of Buffalo; five grandchildren; Donna Pulver, Elizabeth Shirley, Larry McCaslin, Janice Baldwin and Nancy McCaslin and by four great grandchildren; Scotty Pulver, Teresa Pulver, Twila Shirley and Robbie Shirley.
She was converted early in life and joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.She later transferred her membership to the First Baptist Church in Buffalo.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 28, at 2 p.m. in the Montgomery Funeral Chapel with Elder Hersheline Pinkley officiating.Music was by Vernon and Jo Ann Viets who sang "Precious Memories" and "Beyond the Sunset"
Escorts were Cecil Finley, Dean McDaniel, Vinis Skinner, Lawrence Varner, Elton Wingo and Keith Wingo.
Interment was in Macedonia Cemetery under direction of the Montgomery Funeral Home of Buffalo.
