Grace passed away December 18,1984 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was born in Tecumseh Oklahoma on July 31,1904 James passed away Febuary 6,1992 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born Febuary 7,1900 in Prentiss Oklahoma. Both are buried at Lookeba Cemetery Lookeba Ok. Both were wonderful people. They both worked very hard their whole life to provide for their children. I could always sit around and listen to the stories of how they worked the fields and came in and tended to all that was needed around the house. They were both the type that would have given the shirt off there back if they thought that it would help the next person. The were not wealthy with money when they passed away but very wealthy with the love they shared for all. Of the four children that have passed now all 3 passed with cancer. Frances was my mother. She was like her parents very giving. When her parents got to the age that they could no longer provide for themselves she brought them to live with her and my dad. Their door was always open to the other children to come and visit. I remember going to visit and having to step over pallets of adults and children to get thru the rooms but you never heard a word except you can stay too and we will have breakfast first thing in the morning. Mother would be up and have everyone up and beds folded and ready for the day and call more to come for lunch because the family was in and wanted all to visit and stay close. Seems like she could feed the whole clan with the little she had. Sometimes I wondered how my dad took all the guest but he loved them just as much.
