McCHESNEY --- In Little Falls, Jan. 8, 1894, Mrs. Mary McChesney, wife of the late Hiram McChesney, aged 70 years, 9 months, 28 days.
A good, kind and faithful Christian woman has gone to her long rest. One of the oldest residents, having lived here continually for nearly sixty years, she was well known to most of our citizens, by whom she was held in high esteem. No one could long be under her ???? Christian influence without being the better for it and without admiring her simple, loveable traits of character. She was an active and very devoted member of the M. E. church, and was its oldest living member. She had been in feeble health for some years, and during the past year she has failed continuously, though she did not take to her bed till about a week previous to her death, when she had an attack of bronchial catarrh?, which complicated with heart trouble, caused her death. Her last hours were most beautiful and touching, exemplifying the fullest Christian assurance and resignation. She talked and planned of her departure just as she would if about starting upon a journey, with a calmness and hopefulness that was most beautiful and impre??ve She passed away at 11:50, Monday morning.
Mrs. Mary McChesney was the daughter of the late Bartholomew Vosburgh of Danube, is which town she was born March 10, 1823. She came to Little Falls to reside in 1837, and has lived here ever since. August 24, 1844 she married the late Hiram McChesney who died February 24th last. She was the mother of four children, two of whom are living: Earl T. and Miss Emma McChesney. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three sisters, Mrs. C. Y. Clute, of New York; Mrs. Elizabeth Vanalstine, of Danube; and Mrs. Cordelia Fairchild, of New York.
The funeral will be attended from her late residence, tomorrow, (Wednesday) afternoon at 2 o'clock; the services will be under the direction of her pastor, Rev. J. B. Hammond, assisted by Rev. Dr. Richardson, and it is expected that Rev. W. L. Tisdale, of Rensselaer Falls, will also be present.

I'm researching my ggg grandmother Christina (McChesney) Arnold's family, her siblings. Christina born between 1811-1817 and died 14 March, 1887, NY, daughter of Robert McChesney & Nancy Bellinger.
I believe Hiram McChesney, husband of Mrs. Mary McChesney, as mentioned here in Mary's obituary, is my Christina's brother. Does anyone have additional information to either prove or disprove this?
It's my understanding the Bellinger book by Lyle Frederick Bellinger doesn't list the children of Nancy Bellinger & Robert McChesney. It is also my understanding the McChesney book by Paul Prindle does-Pamelia, Caroline, Hiram b. 1812, Dinah, Peter, Christina, Catherine, Hiram (2nd son named Hiram) b. 1820, Elizabeth, Madillah, Mary Margaret, Lydia Ann, Lucinda Typhosia, and Jane. I've also found their children on the various genealogy msg boards & sites with mention of year &/or date of birth.
Christina (McChesney) lived in Little Falls with husband Edward Arnold Jr. (b.1803 NY-d.1895 NY) where they raised 6 children.

I hope to connect with related family of Robert McChesney & Nancy Bellinger to learn more abt their 14 children & spouses.
