Caswell Co. NC, Will Book K, Page 63, by Henry McClarney dated 16 Nov 1824 as follows:
I Henry McClarney of the State of North Carolina and County of Caswell and of sound mind, do hereby make my last will and testament, and bequeath to my three youngest sons namely Robert, Holt, and Armstead, three hundred and thirty three acres and nine tenths to be divided equally ~
My wife Sarah to have choice of one third said land of which she is to have peacible and quiet ? during her life.I also give to her one negro girl named Dorcas as her own right and propererty forever, also one feather bed and furniture, also one cow & calf, also one sow & pigs, also one grey mare, saddle and bridle.
I also give to my daughter Mary, one negro girl named Nancy, also one feather bed and furniture.I also give to my daughter Danesha one negro girl named Jane, also one feather bed and furniture.All my present crop I leave to the use my family now living with me.Also all my fatning hogs.
The Balance of my property I wish sold and the proceeds equally divided between my sons, except one dollar cash with I give to my daughter sarah.This will and testament, sealed, signed and acknowledged in the presence of us, on the day and date above writen.signed:
